The Pioneers and Chanoinesses Museum offers a great display of artefacts describing life in
the late 18 hundreds and early 19 hundreds. You can learn about the first doctor, the first
veterinarian and the founder of Notre-Dame. With models of the train station and a 1920’s
kitchen, you really step into a life from long ago. Also, half of the museum is dedicated to
the “Chanoinesses”, better known as “Les Soeurs du Sauveur”, an order of religious women
who came from France to help establish our flourishing community. The model of a
schoolroom where the nuns taught shows their importance to our community as well as
photos showing all the activities they lead and artwork they created.

The museum is open from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM. To book a tour
